PAIRS: Darkmenistan based collective POEXXXALI just dropped a new short film/music video that closes band’s first chapter and also celebrates the release of their debut album Vampir is Dead. The music video appears to sum up the completely genreless musical approach of this band, sounding more like an aesthetically curated playlist than an actual album as we know it.

Sounds like drinking vodka from the bottle to stay warm while staying the night in a rave haunted by well-meaning but spooky Soviet ghosts.

Real-time soundscape creation for “Space Trip” movie by Vasily Zhuravlev (1935).
Moscow-based techno-punk duo Interchain has created a new soundscape for the movie. Throughout the flick, they unravel the ambient compositions, which are born in improvisation. Occasional noises, weird reverbs, drowning sounds appear during the screening.

Spring 2016 the Swedish label Local Talk released Moscow based Lay-Far’s new album ‘‘How I Communicate’’. Among the album’s songs was the track ‘‘Drop The Time’’. According to Sasha (Lay Far) the label wasn’t convinced by this composition and wanted to exclude it from the album.
This music video is about students trapped in a love triangle. The main roles were signed by young but relevant actors such as Pavel Tabakov, Marusya Fomina and Pasha Shevando. The narrator, who keeps telling you – insignificant at the first sight – stories from the T.V. screen is Great Fruit studio producer Roman Ruktanskiy, this was actually his acting debut. We even had some acting doubles cameos in process.
Special Thanx to Christoph Matenaers (Makakali) & Edward Blagievsky.

New Flesh Records (Lyon, France) — Electro label run by Umwelt
St. Petersburg based DJ and Producer Alexander Moralez (International Deejay Gigolos, Louded Vision, Skylax, Snuff Trax) inaugurates the first of a long series of forthcoming mini-albums on New Flesh Records brand new subdivision NFminilp! Intricate “Kind Human Being” sees the founder of the Mosaique label taking a catchy journey through moody electro and subaquatic sounds a la Drexciya.
Featuring six dark yet inspired tracks from Russia, this collectible release comes in limited “2x7inch” and CD vinyl copies.
Ytro (Russian for morning) has a raw and slightly nostalgic sound reminiscent of 80s Soviet rock underground, and their intricate lyrics is probably one of the finest examples of poetry in the country’s new indie scene. Ytro is a side project of Motorama band members who already explored retro-sounds as Bergen Kremer, although that time with more electronic sound.
Special for УТРО band.
Vito Ricci it’s one of those composers that can be easily inserted into the cult/erudite music category and currently being discovered by the current generation of music lovers. Curiously enough the present track was edited back in 1984 and re-edited on vinyl in 2015 via the Dutch label Music From Memory named after one of Vito’s albums.
